Adventure Now is an outdoor activity centre based in private woodland near Manchester, just a few miles from the Trafford Centre. It offers a wide range of exciting and unusual experiences for families, friends, and groups. With expert instructors and plenty of space, it’s the perfect destination for action-packed fun.

Activities include quad biking through woodland trails, archery, axe throwing, air rifles, clay shooting, crossbows, and pistol shooting. Visitors can also try knife throwing, enjoy a relaxed campfire lunch, or join in competitions and games set up by instructors. With so many different options, there’s something to challenge beginners and thrill-seekers alike.

Prices start from £35 per person for activities like archery, axe throwing, or knife throwing, with quad biking from £45–£79 and clay shooting from £50–£110. Birthday parties are also available, starting from £300 for a two-hour package or £400 for a three-hour package, with archery, axe/knife throwing, and campfire sessions included.

  • Quad Biking: Experience proper off-road quad biking at its best! After a short safety briefing and practice run, you’ll navigate through our dense woodland, with plenty of thrills and challenges to test your skills. From complete beginner to seasoned pro, there’s plenty to explore. 
  • Archery: Enjoy the ancient sport of archery under the guidance of our fun loving, expert instructors. With a bit of practice, you will be hitting the bullseye in no time and playing a range of entertaining and unexpected games. If you've loved your archery session, you might also fancy our Archery Club
  • Air Rifle Shooting: Learn to shoot our accurate and powerful .22 calibre air rifles, safely and accurately in a superb woodland setting. We'll set up a range of shoots for you to challenge your accuracy and speed. You'll be playing shooting games and competitions against the people in your group, as well as getting individual scores for target shooting. 
  • Clay Shooting: Try Clay Shooting in a safe but fun woodland environment. You'll be using one of our 12 Gauge Shotguns to shoot flying clay 'pigeon' targets. Whether you've done it before or a complete beginner, you'll have a great time. Your instructor will tailor the session for your group and will choose from a huge range of shoots available.
  • Axe Throwing: Try Axe Throwing to set free your inner warrior. Outdoor axe throwing is a fantastic experience on our huge woodland throwing range, in Manchester. You'll not be sharing targets like you would in most indoor venues. This medieval sport will guarantee satisfaction, it's bags of fun and a great stress reliever.
  • Pistol Shooting: Experience shooting two real air pistols from Glock and Smith & Wesson. We'll set up a range of classic targets for you to take out, and you're welcome to take home your scored target papers.
  • Crossbow Shooting: Crossbow shooting, a sport that appeals to all ages, is the high-tech version of archery, which is surprisingly easy to master. You'll be impressed at your accuracy and the effectiveness of these weapons, as you enjoy the games and competition. Crossbows are easy to use and require less physical effort than traditional archery bows. 
  • Knife Throwing: Give Knife Throwing a go using our Throwing Angels. Throwing Angels are knives with extra blades on the side that make them easier to stick in targets at any angle. Our Knife Throwing sessions are great fun for beginners or experienced throwers, as you can always perfect your technique. 
  • Campfire Lunch: We'll have the campfire burning and ready for you to barbeque the delicious food you bring along. No need to bring your own cutlery, plates or utensils, just anything you want to cook. Set in a secluded part of our woodland, you'll have your own space to relax in.

We offer exciting children's parties where the kids spend all their time outside enjoying a range of activities that are a bit different. Our kids parties consist of a 50 minute Archery session where we play a range of lighthearted competitions for a bit of fun, followed by 50 minutes around the campfire. You've got the option to add an Axe Throwing session too.

Two Hour Party £300

Our venue is set in private woodland, so has no postcode. Searching for ‘Adventure Now’ on most mapping software will take you straight to us. The only access in is via ‘Grange Road’, the postcode for this road is M30 8JQ. We are 2 miles away from this postcode so allow 5-10 mins of extra driving time. Drive to the end of Grange Road, take the left turn over the motorway bridge, you’ll see a yellow sign pointing you in the right direction. Keep driving past the farm called ‘The Grange’. When you reach the gravel track, follow the yellow signs for 2 miles until you see our car park on the right.
