Beaudesert Outdoor Activity Centre in Cannock Chase is a unique venue for outdoor adventure and learning. Visitors can take on bushcraft and team-building activities like shelter building, fire lighting, and orienteering, or try high-energy options such as abseiling, high ropes, zip wire, climbing, and monkey trees. Water-based fun includes raft building, coracling, and kayaking, while target activities range from archery and air rifles to fencing. For younger visitors, circus skills, pedal karts, and soft archery provide safe and exciting options.
Pricing is activity-based, with sessions ranging from £96 for shelter building, caving, or fire lighting to £255 for via ferrata. Most popular activities like archery, climbing, or raft building are priced at £162–£180.

Features
Bushcraft, Challenge and Team Building
- Caving Simulator: This man-made complex is designed to take you out of your comfort zone in dark and sometimes tight spaces. Instructors also use the activity for team building activities. Participants need to provide their own torches.
- Challenge Course: The challenge course involves racing down the route, tackling obstacles as you go.
- Circus Skills: Have a go at a range of circus activities and improve your skills.
- Fire Lighting: Learn to light fires without matches.
- Orienteering: Use a map to navigate the site and find a number of markers. Easy and intermediate courses are available.
- Shelter Building: Build a shelter using a mixture of natural and man-made resources.
- Team Building: A series of activities designed to promote leadership, listening and teamwork skills.
High Ropes and Climbing
- Climbing Wall: An artificial climbing wall.
- Crate Stacking: Work as a team to build the highest tower. All participants are involved through peer belaying.
- Monkey Trees: Two living Scots pines with a series of climbing holds strapped to them. Again peer belaying is used.
- Traverse Wall: Our man-made bouldering wall. Can you stay off the ground all the way around? Spotting is taught as part of this activity.
Quarry and Pond
- Abseiling: Abseiling on rock in our quarry.
- Quarry Zip Wire: The beauty of this zip wire is that it starts and finishes at ground level in the quarry.
- Via Ferrata: This is a brilliant activity to take responsibility for yourself and support other people.
- Coracling: A traditional vessel, a coracle is like a round canoe. Can you master moving forward in a straight line?
- Raft Building: An excellent team building activity. Work together to build a vessel that will stay afloat when you put it on the water.
Self-Led
- Pedal Karts: Race your friends around the purpose built track.
- Pioneering: We provide poles and ropes. You provide a design and people-power. What can you build?
Target Activities
- Air Rifles: This activity takes place in our indoor range, using .177 air rifles. The aim is to hit the target consistently, scoring the best possible score.
- Archery: Archery is one of our most popular activities and takes place on one of four covered outdoor ranges. The aim is to hit the target consistently, scoring the best possible score.
- Fencing: Brand new at Beaudesert, fencing session include the opportunity to have a go at fencing using all the equipment – masks, jackets, gloves and foils (swords).
- Mini Fencing: For children aged 6 to 10 years we have Mini Fencing. The foils (swords) are plastic. The plastic masks have mesh visors.
- Soft Archery: Soft Archery is a ‘mini’ version of archery which provides child-friendly equipment. The arrows also have suckers on. The bows are prefect for younger participants.
