The British Ironwork Centre is a family-run, award-winning destination known as the UK’s leading metal sculpture park. Spread across 70 acres and with 1000 different sculptures to explore, the centre features the nation’s largest collection of decorative metalwork and offers a creative mix of shopping, art, trails, and nature. It’s a fun and inspiring place for families, couples, and even dogs!

Visitors can explore the vast sculpture park, enjoy themed walking trails, or take the new Kids Imagination Zone filled with colourful mystical characters. You’ll also find indoor showrooms with quirky metal crafts, golf buggy hire for easier touring, and live events like animal encounters. The Forge Café offers tasty food, and facilities include baby changing areas and ample parking.

Entry from March to September is £14 per adult with one free child, and £5 for each additional child; early bird tickets are £8.50. Golf buggy hire starts at £55.

  • Kids Imagination Zone: They have a brand NEW incredible Kids Imagination Zone which includes colourful versions of all your children’s favourite mystical characters all in one place!
  • Walking Trails: The British Ironwork Centre offers a variety of themed walking trails that allow visitors to explore outdoor sculptures, wildlife, and gardens at their own pace. These trails are designed to engage families, spark curiosity, and showcase unique iron artworks integrated into nature. 
  • Golf Buggy: Our Golf Buggies are the ideal way to experience our sculptures and Extinction Trail! Each of our fabulous buggies comes with a route map to help you make the most of your visit.
  • Shopping and Showrooms: Here at the Centre, they have two fabulous indoor showrooms, each filled with an eclectic array of wonderful and fascinating items crafted from beautiful metals and materials. From a wide range of quirky homeware furnishings, interior accessories, and interesting cookware to ironmongery, fine jewellery, everlasting flower sculptures, and other metal handicrafts you won’t find elsewhere, you are bound to find something you love within the showrooms!
  • Event: Here at the British Ironwork Centre, they are hosting ‘The Animal Family‘ from Shropshire, who will be providing some exciting animal experiences on site. They have lots to showcase, such as snakes, spiders and insects and we can’t wait to meet them! Tickets can be purchased at the door.

  • Day Visitor + 1 FREE Child: £14
  • Any additional children are charged at £5.00.
  • Concession Day Visitor: £10 (Available to purchase at our front desk only)
  • Admission is FREE for children under 6 months old.

  • By Bus: Unfortunately, no bus services currently stop at the Centre. Depending on where you are travelling from, the best way to get to the Centre is to catch the 70 or 70A from Oswestry towards Shrewsbury. This bus service leaves directly from the Oswestry bus station and has a stop at Queenshead PH, which is a one mile walk away from the Centre.
  • By Car: The route you take to us will largely depend on the location that you are travelling from but, as a general guide, we are situated on the A5 just outside of Oswestry Town Centre. We have a number of signs placed just outside of our entryway to help guide you onto site. The easiest way to find us is by putting SY11 4JH into your sat nav
  • By Train: Nearest train station is in Gobowen, which is approximately five miles from the Centre. There are several transport links from Gobowen train station to the Centre, including buses and taxis.
