  • A Historic Day Out: Churchill War Rooms offers a fascinating insight into Second World War history. We recommend allowing at least two hours for your visit, so you have time to explore the historic Cabinet War Rooms and the Churchill Museum. Look out for our friendly and knowledgeable volunteers in red uniforms. They can tell you what's happening on the day of your visit and help you make the most of your experience. 
  • For Families: Step back in time and learn together right where history happened. Whether you are studying history, history enthusiasts, or are new to the subject, experience history first-hand and enhance your learning. 
  • Filming and photography: You are welcome to take photos and video at our museums for personal, non-commercial use but please refrain from using flash or tripods. Our museums can get busy at times and we therefore ask that you do not film people without their permission. Please observe signage indicating where photography and filming is not permitted.  
  • Shopping at Churchill War Rooms: Our shops offer a wide range of inspiring and unique gifts, from books, clothing and accessories to vintage posters, homeware, toys and souvenirs. All gifts are inspired by our collections and the stories they tell. We accept cash and card.

Facilities

  • Parking: There are no parking facilities onsite. The nearest public Blue Badge parking bays are located on: Matthew Parker Street (215 metres), Old Queen Street (220 metres), Queen Anne’s Gate (290 metres).
  • Food & Drinks: Take a moment to rest, relax, and refuel in The Switchboard Café during your visit, with food freshly prepared onsite each day using the finest seasonal ingredients. Our café, located in the historic room once used by switchboard operators during the Second World War is open daily from 10am-5pm.
  • Toilets: All toilet facilities are located at the start of the tour. Three gender-neutral accessible toilets, including one baby changing facility. 
  • Lockers and luggage: Large items, such as suitcases and large baggage will not be admitted and there are no luggage storage facilities at Churchill War Rooms.
