Clarence Pier is a historic seaside amusement park located on the Southsea seafront in Portsmouth. Established in 1945, it has been a family favourite for generations and is celebrating 80 years of fun. It offers a wide mix of rides, games, and attractions suitable for all ages, whatever the weather. 

The pier features three large indoor arcades filled with classic and modern games, including Mario Kart, Space Invaders, VR simulators, 2-Penny Falls, ticket redemption games, cuddly toy grabbers, and £500 Cash Casinos. Visitors can enjoy Putt Hutt, an 18-hole indoor adventure golf course with funfair-themed obstacles and a licensed bar called The 19th Hole. Other attractions include the Upside Down House photo experience and a wide range of rides such as Mad Mouse, Dodgems, Waltzer, Twister, Canyon River, Gallopers, Tea Party, Bouncing Bugs, Seal Creek, and more. 

Ride tokens are priced at £1 each, with a Super Saver Bag offering 60 tokens for £30, and a Day Rider Wristband costing £32 per person (or £28.8pp when booked online). Golf prices start from £7.50 for children, £8.75 for adults, and £30 for a family of up to four, with a Supersaver Wristband available after 17:00 for £16 per person covering 10 rides.

  • By Car: If you're travelling by car, there's paid on-street parking nearby, plus two large car parks within easy walking distance. We're also served by multiple bus routes that stop right outside.
  • By Bus: Portsmouth Park and Ride is a convenient and sustainable way to travel into the city. The daily PR1 bus service runs every 15 minutes to The Hard Interchange via the city centre. During summer weekends, an additional route operates to Southsea.
  • By Train: The nearest station is Portsmouth Harbour and is only a 25-minute scenic walk to Clarence Pier. If you're coming from the Isle of Wight, the Hovertravel terminal is directly next door to us, and the Wightlink ferry port is just a short 20 minute walk away.
