Create and Paint is a family-run creative studio located in the heart of Darlington, offering a welcoming space for painting, parties, and workshops. It’s not just about painting—it’s a place to relax, enjoy a coffee, and connect with others. With a friendly café atmosphere, it’s perfect for individuals, families, and groups to get creative together.

The studio offers pottery painting for all ages, fused glass workshops, and special events like Paint, Pizza & Prosecco nights. It also provides opportunities to create unique keepsakes, ideal as gifts for family and friends. Celebrations such as birthdays, baby showers, or team-building events can also be hosted here.

Studio fees are £4, with painting sessions starting from £4 for 1–2 seats, keepsakes from £10, and items beginning at £12. Workshops require a £15 deposit and £30 on the night. Party packages start from £14 per child, with exclusive hire for 10+ guests at £160 minimum.

Pottery Painting: Everyone is welcome whether you are a table of two or twenty or more or anything in between join us, relax and get creative. Never painted before not a problem there will be someone to guide you and give you tips along the way.
Paint Pizza & Prosecco: Held thought the year on various Thursday nights. It has become one of our most popular events for couples, small and large groups, birthday celebrations and team building events.
Fused Glass: A light hearted workshop. All materials supplied including the all important tea, coffee and biscuits. Various options to create on the night such as tea lights, sun catchers, lanterns etc.
Celebrations: Looking for a place to celebrate that special day be it a Birthday, Hen do, Baby shower, Team Building, local girl guides and scout groups or a group of friends wanting to catch up look no further.
Keepsakes: Create a special keepsake, a reminder of how small they once were. Ideal gifts for Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Christmas and Grandparents. Capture a hand or footprint with paint or imprints with clay Create and Paint.

Birthday Party Details

For parties of 10+ (minimum charge £160 and minimum age of 7) we can offer exclusive use of our 2nd floor and a member of the team to host the party on a Sunday or after school Tuesday to Thursday. Prefer your own venue not a problem we can bring the experience to you.

For the younger ones at £14 per person they can choose from various items for example a cat, dog, t-rex, rabbit, unicorn , princess, elephant, pug, fox, dragon, owl, panda, small plate or mug we vary these items from month to month to keep the display fresh. The painting itself runs for 90 minutes, all items remain with us so we can glaze and fire them, each item will be in an individually name bag and boxed up for you to collect approximately 7-10 days later (more in holiday periods)

There is an option to add an additional 30 minutes on if you require a food option these range from £3 to £6 per head for a full buffet, ice cream and unlimited juice.
