Description

Dyffryn Gardens a peaceful oasis on the outskirts of Cardiff, Dyffryn has something new to discover on every visit, from intricate themed garden rooms to sweeping formal lawns and productive kitchen gardens to a large arboretum. The gardens host a number of different styles inspired by countries from all over the world, from a recognisable Italian influence in the Pompeiian Garden to the rainforest-like quality of the plants in the Exotics Garden. With a café, shop and second-hand bookshop, there is a lot to see and do on a visit to Dyffryn.

These Grade I listed gardens are the product of a partnership between prominent garden designer, Thomas Mawson, and passionate horticulturalist and owner, Reginald Cory. In our work today we are building on Mawson and Cory’s spirit of tradition and experimentation in our approach to restoring the gardens. Our aim is not to achieve an exact historical recreation but rather to hold the historical Edwardian roots at the heart of what we do and using new and innovative ways to make it work for the future, such as gardening with biodiversity and climate change in mind.

Prices starts from £14.30 for adults, £7.20 for Child and £21.50 for Family. If you’re looking for the best place to visit with family and kids, this is a perfect choice for a fun and relaxing day out.
