  • By Foot: Dynamic Earth is (approximately) a 20-minute walk from Edinburgh City Centre. Accessible from Holyrood Road, Holyrood Gait and a public footpath from Horse Wynd.
  • By Bike: Dynamic Earth is close to the National Cycle Network, with connections via Holyrood Park. We have bike racks located outside the building on Holyrood Road. The nearest bike rental is Cycle Scotland.
  • By Bus: There are several open top tour buses which make regular stops at Dynamic Earth. Including Edinburgh Tours who hold Green Tourism Gold Award. The number 35 stops a 3-minute walk away from Dynamic Earth. Alternative routes include the 5, 7, 14, 29, 30, 31, 33, 37, 45 and 49 which stop on North Bridge and are a 10-minute walk away along Holyrood Road.
  • By Train: The nearest train station is Edinburgh Waverley, which is a 15-minute walk away, when leaving from the Market Street exit. Up-to-date train times and tickets can be found at the Trainline website.
  • By Taxi: If travelling by taxi to visit us, we recommend choosing a carbon neutral company if possible. Local Edinburgh taxi company ‘Central Taxis’ is a carbon neutral option available nearby. If you require a taxi for pick up from our centre, please speak to a member of staff who can arrange for this company to collect you. 
  • By Car: Dynamic Earth has a 24-hour car park located underneath the building, for which charges to apply. Spaces are allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis and cannot be reserved beforehand. The car park has a height limit of 2.3 meters. Dynamic Earth has six EV charging points, located on the left-hand side of the car park, just after the entry barrier. Each charging bay is clearly marked with a ‘Priority EV Charging Point.’
