Pricing varies by season. Adult tickets (16+) range from £14.50 to £18.00, while Child tickets (age 3–15) range from £6.50 to £7.00, and Under 3s are Free. Family tickets range from £39.90 to £47.50. Steam Train tickets are £7.50 per person, with a Family Train Ticket priced at £28.50. Membership options range from £70.00 for an Individual membership to £140.00 for a 2 adult family (up to 3 children) membership.

A spring spectacle of countless rhododendrons and azaleas, towering magnolias and spectacular camellias; a summer packed with perfect perennials and dreamy riverside walks; a fiery feast of autumn foliage; a winter wonderland of festive fun. 
  • Spring is a breathtaking spectacle here at Exbury, with an array of plants stepping forward into the spotlight. Our extensive camellia collection, on the approach to the Connoisseur’s Garden and along not one but two Camellia Walks, is ablaze with a range of vibrant shades and Exbury’s world-famous azaleas and rhododendrons join the performance, filling the gardens with colour at every turn.
  • In summer, our 200 acres offer the best of both worlds, from winding woodland paths and shady trails to sunny meadows and walks along the glimmering Beaulieu River. Don’t miss our collection of hydrangeas, and the Iris, Herbaceous, Sundial and Centenary Gardens all at their best, in bloom with a heady mix of perennials and exotic flowers.
  • In autumn, the changing leaves provide a palette of stunning reds, oranges and yellows throughout the gardens, courtesy of large numbers of nyssas and acers.
  • In winter, Exbury transforms into a winter wonderland for two festive weekends. Join us for our Christmas Fair, featuring a wide range of local producers offering all manner of wonderful gift ideas; meet Father Christmas, climb aboard our Festive Express Steam Railway experience to help the elves prevent another Christmas catastrophe; and, of course, enjoy the gardens at their wintery best.

The Exbury Steam Railway

  • Climb aboard our narrow-gauge steam railway at Exbury Central and enjoy an elevated view of the Rock Garden on a twenty-minute adventure that also takes you through a tunnel, over a bridge and around Dragonfly Pond.
  • Experience the sights and sounds of a working narrow-gauge steam railway by stepping aboard The Rhododendron Line. Visitors must have a valid gardens admission ticket or membership, and a train ticket to ride the Steam Railway. 

We have a packed events programme for you at Exbury: school holiday workshops, family games and trails, creative workshops for adults, outdoor theatre, a 3-day festival of music, plus our ever-popular Halloween Ghost Train and Christmas at Exbury event.

  • By Car: Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway is approximately 20 minutes from the M27. Junctions 2 and 3 of the M27 will bring you to the A326, from which point brown and white tourism signs will guide you to the gardens from the Heath roundabout – the entrance to the New Forest. Exbury boasts a very large car and coach park which is free to visitors.
  • By Bus: During the summer months New Forest Open Top Bus Tours circle the New Forest National Park daily. The green route calls at Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway 7 times per day. 
  • By Train: Both Southern Rail and South Western Railway have routes that stop at the stations closest to Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway. The closest train station is Brockenhurst, which is approximately 10 miles from Exbury. Visitors can either get a taxi from the station or take the New Forest Open Top Bus Tour which stops at Exbury 7 times per day during the summer months.
