Welcome to the Farnborough Air Sciences Trust, Farnborough Air Sciences Trust (FAST) exists to safeguard and promote Farnborough’s great heritage in aviation science. Explore the Museum, plan your visit, or book a guided tour on Tuesdays or Thursdays.

The FAST Museum adjacent to Farnborough airfield holds a collection of aircraft (actual and model), satellites, simulators and other unique material related to Farnborough’s world famous Royal Aircraft Establishment.  FAST also offers exclusive guided tours of  areas of Farnborough’s historic aviation quarter not normally open to the public.

  • Air Sciences Museum & Tours: The FAST Museum includes a fascinating collection of aircraft, equipment, machinery, photographs, films, reports and books related to Farnborough’s illustrious aviation history.
  • Wind Tunnel Tours: The historic Wind Tunnels at Farnborough are some of the few remaining buildings from the world famous Royal Aircraft Establishment. Saved from demolition by FAST and given listed status, these magnificent buildings were at the forefront of aerodynamic research and development from the early 1930s until 1994.
  • Centrifuge: Opened in 1955, the Farnborough centrifuge was the first machine in Britain able to test human subjects and their equipment under the effects of high-G without exposing them to the potentially fatal risk of actual flight.
  • Archive: Explore our extensive archive of documents, photographs and artefacts, and historic film footage available for licensing.
  • Shop: A wide range of books, DVDs, models and souvenirs is available in our Museum Shop. We are working on a new online shop.

  • Food & Drinks: The museum has a fully accessible ground floor coffee lounge, which is open during museum opening hours, serving hot and cold drinks, cakes and biscuits.

Junctions 4 and 4A of the M3 are minutes away and the Museum is just 15 miles from junction 12 of the M25, making Heathrow and Gatwick airports readily accessible.The Museum is situated on the A325 Farnborough Road, close to the Eastern end of the main runway at Farnborough Airfield.
  • By Train: Farnborough is on the London to Southampton rail line and is just 37 minutes from central London by train. Farnborough Main rail station is just a 5 minute taxi ride or 20 minute walk away from the Museum.
  • By Bus: The main bus route up the A325 through Farnborough, from Camberley to Aldershot, is Stagecoach Route 1. 
  • Parking: Parking is free at the Museum and there are plenty of spaces.
