Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World offers a full day of wildlife and adventure for all ages. Visitors can see Shropshire’s Big Cats, parrots, meerkats, owls, servals, caracals, bobcats, zorillas, and clawed otters, walk among ring-tailed lemurs, explore Wolf Woods with wolves, deer, wallabies, and a badger sett, or discover reptiles in Rivers, Rainforests and Deserts. Hoo-Rassic World features over 30 moving dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures, while Land of the Beasts showcases species from the post-dinosaur era to the Ice Age. Families can enjoy the Indoor & Outdoor Play Area, Land Rover Safari, and Quad Bikes, while animal experiences include Badger Watching, Capybara, Crazy Cat Breakfast, Meerkat and Lemur feeding, Junior Keeper sessions, and Keeper for the Day. Guests can stay at Badger’s Wood log cabin with wildlife views and modern amenities, and children aged 9–12 can join educational Holiday Clubs.

      • Indoor & Outdoor Play Area: What to do when the kids have seen enough animals – take them on the play area of course. With dozens of different play items including climbing frames, swings, ziplines, sensory forest and Shropshire’s Biggest Jumping Pillow, the children and adults will be tired out in no time.
      • Land Rover Safari and Quad Bikes: Fun for kids and adults alike. Take a Land Rover for a drive through our very own safari land or race electric quad bikes around a track. Land Rovers are open weekends and school holidays from February to October and are closed from November through to February half term. Quad Bikes are open every day. These activities do incur an extra charge – please download our app to find out their latest opening times.

    • Badger Watching: A fantastic opportunity to get up close and personal with one of Britain’s most elusive animals, the Badger. Taking place on Saturdays from 5 pm to 9 pm, this unique experience offers the chance to observe badgers and other wildlife like foxes in their natural habitat. The Hoo Zoo Badger Sett is over 30 years old and is home to about 20 badgers.
    • Badger’s Wood: Stay with in the beautiful handcrafted log cabin that is Badger’s Wood. Located only a 2-minute walk from Hoo Zoo and Dinosaur World, this TripAdvisor-ranked 2nd Best Zoo UK 2023 & 2024 accommodation offers a 30 sqm open-plan apartment with timber cladding, vaulted ceilings, wooden beams, a large decked area with hot tub and BBQ. Wildlife includes badgers, foxes, buzzards, and owls.
    • Capybara Experience: Starting in February 2025, meet Cinnamon, the world-famous Capybara, up close. Animals include European Badger, Red Fox, and Barn Owl.

    • Lemur Experience: Get close to and learn about our lemurs. Animals include Ring-Tailed Lemur, Collared Brown Lemur, and Black and White Ruffed Lemur.
    • Keeper For The Day: The ultimate animal experience in an exclusive group with a private keeper. Includes food and drink. Animals include Serval, Reticulated Python, African Spurred Tortoise, Ring-Tailed Lemur, Red Fox, Striped Skunk, Meerkat, European Eagle Owl, and Desert Hedgehog.

    • Animals of the World: Home of Shropshire’s Big Cats. Come along and visit our Big Cats and other fantastic creatures; if you really want to get up close and personal, book one of our experiences. The animals include parrot, meerkat, barn owl, brown wood owl, serval, jungle cat, African civet, Indian crested porcupine, European eagle owl, Harris hawk, caracal, bobcat, zorilla, and clawed otters.
    • Hoo-Rassic World: Step back over 250 million years to a time before Dinosaurs. Through our woodland walk, encounter over 30 moving dinosaurs and other beasts as you learn all about these amazing creatures. Species include Dimetrodon, Dilophosaurus, Diplodocus, Protoceratops, Ankylosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Postosuchus, Allosaurus, Ornitholestes, Carnotaurus, Dakotaraptor, Pteranodon, Coelophysis, Stegosaurus, Baryonyx, Alamosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, Therizinosaurus, Placerias, Ceratosaurus, Velociraptor, Atrociraptor, Triceratops, and Quetzalcoatlus.
    • Wolf Woods: Walk down into our Wolf Woods to see not just our Wolves but Deer, Cockatoos and even our walkthrough Wallaby enclosure. There is also a wild Badger Sett in this area whose inhabitants occasionally make an appearance. Animals include Arctic Wolf, Red Deer, Galah, Eurasian Wolf Hybrid, Fallow Deer, Amazon Parrot, Wallaby, European Badger, Lesser Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, Sheep, and Umbrella Cockatoo.
    • Rivers, Rainforests and Deserts: Not keen on scaly or slithery things? Probably best to give this a miss – or try and overcome your fear. Full of snakes, venomous lizards, and tortoise, this is where our reptiles are kept. Species include Boa Constrictor, Bosc’s Monitor, Beaded Lizard, and Russian Rat Snake.
    • Land of the Beasts: Walk through history as you discover what came after the dinosaurs, from 50 million years ago up to the Ice Age. Animals include Andrewsarchus, Megatherium, Cave Bear, Daeodon, Doedicurus, Titanis, and Woolly Rhino.
    • Lemur Forest: Lemur Forest is the home to our family of Ring-Tailed Lemurs. Walk amongst them in their woodland through the lemur walk, open weekends and holidays from March to October except in severe weather. Animals include Black and White Ruffed Lemur, Raccoon, Capybara, Collared Brown Lemur, Coati, Llama, Black Lemur, Ostrich, Binturong, Sheep, Emu, and Ring-Tailed Lemur.
    • Parrots of the Caribbean: A colourful area showcasing a lively collection of parrot species.
    • Hoo Zoo Cat House: Dedicated to small and medium cat species from around the world, offering close encounters with caracals, bobcats, and more.
