Imagine That! in Liverpool is a unique hands-on children’s activity centre combining the best of a science museum, play centre, and creative workshop. Designed for kids aged 1–10, it’s a place where imagination runs wild through role play, messy fun, science experiments, and outdoor adventures. Every visit is packed with fun, learning, and discovery.

Children can explore Imagination Village, filled with themed shops and play zones; get creative in Art Beatz with graffiti walls and car painting; and build in the Construction Area. Outdoors, there’s fossil hunting, sand play, and agility challenges, while the Science Area and Slime Factory let kids make slime, conduct experiments, and watch exciting science shows. Parents can relax in Galileo’s Café or Faraday’s Café during the visit.

Entry prices vary by session, with midweek toddler sessions from £12.95 per child (£5.95 per adult) and weekend or holiday sessions from £23.95 per child and £9.95 per adult. Babies under 12 months go free. Party packages start at £495 for up to 20 children, including a private VIP session.

Imagination Village: Press the button on the pedestrian crossing and enter a world of imagination. Kids role playing activities Liverpool: Roam freely through the different shops in Imagination Village. Browse through the different shops, stop at the hair salon, watch a performance at the theatre… why not even read some breaking news at the news studio! With so much to explore one visit isn’t enough!
Construction Area: Test your building and team work skills over in the construction site! Use the cranes, wheelbarrows and giant conveyor belt to move bricks across the construction site! The construction site is included in the first part of your visit!
Art Beatz: Take a photo on our giant Graffiti screen and receive a souvenir photo or leave an impression on our giant Pin Art exhibit! There are always lots of amazing art and craft workshops going on and course the opportunity to paint our real life car too. Outdoor Fun: Go panning for crystals or explore ancient fossils in the discovery lodge. If you want to test your agility skills don’t forget to stop at the builders bootcamp and then get busy in the giant sand pit. The outdoor area can be accessed during your time in Artbeatz. Open May-September, weather permitting.
Science Area: Engage in hands-on science experiments with our science busker covering topics such as forces, pressure, electricity and heat! Explore the different exhibits from our pedal power bike to a gigantic bubble you can stand in… there’s so much to explore on the science floor. Feeling brave? Then head over to the water area. Turn the the pumps, fill the buckets and have a splashing good time in our water area.
Slime Factory: Welcome to Slime Factory, the final part of your journey and home to our amazing slime and science workshops…learn our tricks of the trade and create the gooiest slime in Liverpool!! Then sit back and be amazed by our science show packed with experiments that will stimulate all senses!! Then head off to the giant tubs of slime and get really hands-on…if you dare!!

By Car: We have free parking on site and we’re just 5 minutes from the M62 and 10 minutes from the city centre. From M62; follow sign towards city centre. Turn left at second major traffic light (just after B&Q). Go to roundabout and take third exit (Technology Park) Follow road until it ends and then turn right at the roundabout and then right again shortly after. Look out for the bright red post boxes at the end of Faraday Road. From City Centre: take Edge Lane towards M62. Turn right at Innovation Park, turn left at next traffic light (Technology Park). Go to the end of the road and then straight across the crossroads. Look out for the bright red pot boxes at the end of Faraday Road We are located right at the end of Faraday Road which is a cul-de-sac.
By Bus: We are 15 minutes’ walk from several bus routes that stop on Edge Lane, Wavertree Road and Rathbone Road including 6, 7, 14, 60, 61, 62, 78, 79.
By Train: Wavertree Technology Park has its own station with the same. It is a quiet 10 minute walk from the station to ImagineThat! with just one minor road to cross. The station is just two stops from Lime Street and on many the lines into Liverpool including Manchester Victoria, Preston and St Helens.
