Visit Kissane Sheep Farm, a traditional working mountain sheep farm in County Kerry, situated on the N71 Road between Kenmare and Killarney National Park. The farm, owned by the same family for almost 200 years, is home to hundreds of sheep and baby lambs. Visitors can meet the sheep in their natural environment, watch skilled Border Collie dogs round up the flock, and experience seasonal farm activities such as lambing in spring and sheep shearing in summer. Overlooking the famous Moll’s Gap, the farm offers a unique insight into traditional sheep farming while preserving its heritage.

Admission prices are €10 per adult, €5 for children aged 5–11, and free for children under 5.

Every year thousands of tourist come to Ireland to see the beautiful countryside and make photographs of the Ewes and Little Lambs wandering around, enjoying their freedom. The Goal of Adopt a Sheep is to preserve the Irish Heritage of mountain Sheep, living in the mountains in the scenic area of Moll’s Gap on the Ring of Kerry (Ireland).

  • Kissane Sheep Farm is located on the N71 Road between Kenmare and Killarney
  • Travelling From Kenmare: 7 miles (11 Km) From Kenmare on the N71 Road to Killarney. The Farm Entrance is 1.5 miles (2 Km) on the Killarney side of Moll’s Gap on your Left Hand Side (You will see the sign). Since we are a large farm you will be driving through the farm for some time on the N71 before you see the Entrance to the Farm Yard. Avoca Shop / Cafe at Molls Gap is in the Centre of the Farm. You will see the Sheep with the Red Marking, as you drive along the N71. Those Sheep are from Kissane Sheep Farm.
  • Travelling From Killarney: Take the N71 Road in the Direction of Kenmare and we are 12 miles (19 Km) from Killarney. Drive through the beautiful, Killarney National Park and you will pass Ladies View on your Left. We are 1.5 miles (2 Km) after Ladies View on your Right Hand Side. (You will see the Sign). Note: Using GPS is not very accurate and it has led people a stray on their way to the Farm and sometimes taken people around the long distance. The important thing to note is that you are on the N71 Road.
  • Travelling From Sneem: Take the R568 road to Moll’s Gap and then go left on the N71 to Killarney and are 1.5 miles (2 Km) on your Left Hand Side.15 miles (25 Km) From Sneem.
