Ticket prices are affordable, with Adult Day Rover tickets at £9 and single journeys at £4.50, while children (5–15 years) pay £4 for a Steam Day Rover or £1 for a Diesel Day Rover, with single journeys at £2. Annual passes cost £30 for adults and £15 for children, and a family group ticket (2 adults + up to 3 children) is £22. Party train hire is available for £120 per session, covering up to 40 people for three return trips between Moor Road and Park Halt.

Step back in time and experience the world’s oldest continuously working railway. Established in 1758, the Middleton Railway has been at the heart of Leeds’ industrial heritage for over 260 years. From its origins as a pioneer of the first Railway Act of Parliament to witnessing the world’s first commercially successful steam locomotives in 1812, our tracks carry a legacy like no other. Today, we are a proud award-winning heritage attraction, run entirely by dedicated volunteers. Whether you’re a lifelong rail enthusiast or looking for a unique family day out, there is something for everyone to discover.
