  • Mill Green Museum: Mill Green Museum collects, cares for, exhibits and interprets the archaeology and history of Welwyn Hatfield borough with and for our local community. We want anyone who has lived, worked or played in the borough across the years to be represented in our museum and collection.
  • Mill Gardens: In an attractive riverside setting, our gardens are inspired by a traditional cottage kitchen garden with herb beds, our knot garden and flower beds all adding colour and scents to help you relax. Our Jubilee garden was created in commemoration of Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee. Wander round or sit and relax listening to the sound of the River Lea.

  • Parking: At Mill Green Museum, we have a car park that can cater for around 10-15 cars including a disabled parking space. There is also parking on Bush Hall Lane. At the Roman Baths, we have a car park for 15-20 cars.
  • Food & Drinks: Mill Green Museum has small café that opens during museum opening times. Please note there is no café at Welwyn Roman Baths.
  • Toilets: At Mill Green Museum, we have 4 public toilets including 2 accessible toilets and baby changing facilities. Toilets are located in the main museum and in the Old Pump House building in the car park.
  • Dogs: Assistance dogs are welcome at both our sites.

The Gardens: Our gardens are available for exclusive hire to celebrate the special occasions in your life. With use of our beautiful gardens, marquees and chairs/tables included and options for food and drink available. Tours of the mill can also be arranged. Gallery Hire: We are pleased to offer gallery space for hire to local artists and art and community groups, providing a venue to exhibit their work and share it with the local community who visit Mill Green Museum & Mill.
