Description

The park was created by entrepreneur Joe Larter in 1983 as a small American-themed family attraction, containing a miniature railway, Cine 180 and adventure playground.

The park has been a popular destination for generations, and is home to the park’s much loved mascot and the region’s beloved cuddly friend, Woody Bear.

Yearly expansion brought the addition of new attractions and general improvements. Controlling interest in the park was sold to RKF, a property development company, in the late 1980s.

Pleasurewood Hills Family Theme Park is just 10 minutes from the seaside town of Lowestoft.
Set in 50 acres, this park has rides and attractions to suit all ages! If you’re a thrill seeker you’ll love Wipeout with its top speed of 50 mph.
Hold on as you climb to 60ft high on Cannonball Express and brace yourself for a soaking on Timber Falls.
Families with younger children won’t miss out on any of the fun. Grab a friend and jump in the dinghy to take on the Wave Breaker, race friends or family at the Bumpercar Garage, spin around on the Kite Flyer and go looking for treasure on the Pirate Ship.
Smaller children will like the Flying Elephants, Balloon Rays and Big Train. There are also animal shows and attractions such as a sea lion and parrot show.
