Sandown Pier family owned and run Pleasure pier with amusements to cater for everyone. There is the arcade with all the latest Video arcade games, pushers, cranes and skill prize machines. We have our Lost world crazy golf and 4 lanes of ten pin bowling. Magic Island is our kids play area where children up to the age of 10 years can have fun ( height restriction also applies ).

There’s the Lost World indoor golf adventure, with special lighting and sound effects, Ten Pin Bowling and Magic Island Play Area which specialise in children’s birthday parties. The End of the Pier is open from Easter and has rides for all the family including Dodgems, Snake Slide, Ball Walkers, Quad Bikes and Tea Cups. There is a Cafe, Burger Bar and Ice Cream Kiosk and at the front of the pier is Scruffy Jacks Sports Bar with stunning views of the bay.

  • Lost World Adventure Golf: Crazy golf like you have never experienced before…we dare you to enter the Ancient Aztec ruins. Challenge family and friends to a game of mini crazy golf around the rainforest ruins, experience lightening, monkeys and lions whilst you tackle the 11 holes around the course. The light, sound and smoke effects take you through a tropical rainforest thunderstorm as you make your way around the course which should take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
  • Magic Island: A land of fantasy and fun; our Magic Island indoor children’s adventure play area is great for burning some of the kids’ energy and keeping them.
  • Superbowl: Real 10 pin bowling located at the heart of the pier by the Ancient Aztec Temple. Enjoy a full game of bowling with friends and family – great fun.
  • Scruffy Jacks: Situated at the front of the Pier, Scruffy Jack’s is the place to watch live football in Sandown. The sports bar has become well-known with locals.
  • Rides: The pier end is open from Easter throughout the summer and has a great range of rides for all the family. Test your skills on the traditional Dodgems, take a ride down the spiral Snake Slide, brave the jumping star ride or have some great fun in the Ball Walkers. There’s also Quad Bikes and classic spinning Tea Cups to enjoy.
  • Amusements: All that you’d expect from a traditional pier including video games, kids rides, slot machines, novelty games and crane grabs.
  • Fishing: Great fishing is available from the end of Sandown pier throughout the summer. See what you can catch! Only open whilst the end of the pier is open.

Facilities

Food & Drinks: What British pier would be complete without a bar, a cafe and an ice cream kiosk selling traditional donuts and candy floss? Sandown Pier has a cafe just inside the entrance which sells hot and cold snacks including wonderful thick milkshakes, traditional seaside chips and burgers. You can sit and enjoy a meal from the full cafe menu whilst looking out across the stunning views of Sandown Bay. The breakfasts are a popular choice for many.

  • From Fishbourne ferry, B3339 (Fishbourne lane), A3054 to Ryde (Esplanade), straight along the Esplanade to the boating lake, follow the road round to the right onto A3055 to Sandown.

  • From Ryde: please either visit the train station annexed to the Catamaran or travel on the No. 2 or 3 bus route.
