Surf Coasteering: Surf Coasteering is the ultimate adventure experience and an exhilarating way to explore the rugged St Ives coastline. Coasteering combines traversing rocks, floating through gullies, sea swimming, exploring caves, leaping off jumps, and plunging into the ocean below. All activities take place in a safe and fun environment under the guidance of highly trained and qualified professionals. Sessions can be tailored to suit group needs and individual abilities. Suitable for beginner and intermediate participants, jumps range from one to seven metres high.
- Beginner (2 hours): The beginner lesson is aimed at absolute newcomers to surfing. Once you’ve been kitted out with all your gear, you’ll learn everything a beginner needs to know about beach safety, paddling technique, how to catch waves and finally the fundamentals of getting up to your feet on the board.
- Improver (2 hours): For Surfers looking to further develop their skills. Improver lessons range from Improver to intermediate and cover aspects of surfing such as fine-tuning the basics, turning your board, gaining speed, duck diving and catching unbroken waves from further out to sea. - Advanced Surf Coaching: Led by senior and experienced coaches, advanced lessons cater to surfers aiming to enhance their performance. Sessions are best booked privately or with groups of similar ability to maximize potential.
- Group Coasteering Adventure (1.5 – 2 hours): Public Coasteering sessions run at different times each day depending on the tide. Sessions are limited to a maximum of 16 participants and are always supervised by at least two qualified guides. All equipment is provided; participants only need to bring a towel. The minimum age for the activity is 12 years, and all participants must comfortably swim 50 metres. Children under 16 require an accompanying adult.
Stand Up Paddleboarding: The basics are easy to learn, allowing for a relaxing way to enjoy the surroundings or a strenuous core workout to stay in shape. Paddleboarding can even be a fun way to catch fresh fish for a barbecue.
