Paint-Your-Own Pottery: There are many stages to making a piece of pottery, and we at The Alabaster Jar want to invite you to participate in the creative process! When a Potter 'throws' a piece of pottery out of clay, it's only the first step. The pot is fired for the first time to change it from a soft and vulnerable piece of 'greenware' into a plain white product known as 'bisque'. It's this bisque that we have available for you to 'paint' in our studio.
Late Night: Held once a month between 6pm and 9pm, our late night adult only "MY TIME" evenings are the ideal opportunity to come to the studio after a busy day and let all your cares escape you as you get lost in painting and conversation with family and friends. Booking is essential so contact us to reserve your space and avoid disappointment. Bookings open to those aged 18 and over only.
Clay Imprints: Choose from a variety of clay shapes, glaze colours and the option for the imprint to be framed or hung. Choose from a single imprint (1 hand OR 1 foot), a double imprint (2 hands OR 2 feet OR 1 hand & 1 foot), or a family of imprints. Imprints take approx. 8 weeks to produce once the hand or footprint has been taken. We ask that for baby imprints, babies are at least 3 months old.
Commissions: If you're after that perfect gift for a special occassion, or even for that special someone, we can help.If you don't want to paint an item yourself, or don't feel able to do it justice, then ask us to paint it for you. Commissions take around 2-3 weeks from the day of the order, so please allow enough time when planning your gift.

We do birthday parties for adults and children, hen parties & baby showers, group outings, corporate events or even if you just want to get a group of friends or family together for a catch-up!
At our parties each person can choose an item from a good selection of blank pots which include plates, mugs, bowls or animal figurines (over 60 items to choose from in our party range!)
Each party includes unlimited jugs of juice and a commemorative plate with a choice of design and the names and fingerprints of all those who attend. The party organiser also gets a free hot drink.
You also get exclusive use of our party room for 2 hours so you can bring your own party food and play party games if you want.
We do discounts and additional packages for registered charities. Feel free to call to us to discuss how we can meet the needs of your group.
