Description

The Potters Barn in Cheshire is a fully working pottery set in the peaceful countryside by the Trent and Mersey canal. Established in 1992, it is run by Andrew Pollard and Steve Marr, who share their love of pottery with the public through creative and hands-on experiences. It’s a welcoming place for relaxation, education, and enjoyment.

Visitors can take part in pottery classes covering wheel throwing, hand-building, decorating, and glazing, with regular evening classes for adults. The studio also runs Craft Pottery Long Sessions, giving beginners a chance to try different making methods including the wheel. For something unique, guests can join exciting Raku Days or explore Pit Firing and Fuming, both offering fire, smoke, and a memorable outdoor pottery experience.

Pricing is available directly from the venue, and bespoke options can be tailored to individuals or groups. Pottery Parties are available for birthdays, hens, corporates, or team-building days, offering a creative and fun way to celebrate with clay.

Overall, The Potters Barn is a fantastic spot for anyone inspired by pottery. With its mix of traditional and creative techniques, friendly tuition, and unique party packages, it’s a must-visit for pottery lovers in Cheshire.
