The Sheriff Centre (Hullabaloo Soft Play) in West Hampstead, London, is a colourful and imaginative soft play area uniquely set within the beautiful arches of St James’ Church. Designed for babies and young children, it’s a one-of-a-kind family venue blending play, community, and relaxation.
The play area is divided into two zones: a baby section with a ball pit, sensory mirrors, and soft puzzles for little ones learning to crawl, and a junior zone with three adventure-packed levels featuring slides, tunnels, and hide-and-seek corners for children aged 2–10. Hullabaloo also hosts Soft Play Lates, where parents can unwind with a drink from the bar while kids play, and dedicated Additional Needs Sessions for children who may find regular sessions challenging.
Sessions cost £5.00 for babies (up to 23 months) and £7.00 for juniors (up to 10 years) for one hour of play. Private hire is available on Sunday afternoons, with group bookings offered on Saturdays. The on-site café serves artisan coffee, cakes, and snacks, with free Wi-Fi and comfortable lounge seating.

Our soft play is colourful and exciting, uniquely situated within the church. We have two sections each designed for children of a specific age or ability.
- Babies: Our baby section is best for little ones who are able to sit or crawl. In this area, they can enjoy a ball pit, soft puzzles and games plus a sensory mirror.
- Juniors: The junior section is best for climbing explorers from age 2, however we are happy for children from 18 months to venture into the junior section if able. This area has 3 levels, with 2 slides and lots of crawl tunnels and hidey holes!
- Soft Play Lates: Join us for our ever popular afterhours soft play. Come and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and a drink from our bar whilst the children enjoy the soft play!
- Additional Needs Soft Play Sessions: We run additional needs sessions within our soft play for children and young people who have special needs, or a disability that may make participating in regular play sessions difficult for them and their parents.
