The Wokingham Treasure Trail is a fun, self-guided spy mission that takes you on an exciting adventure through the historic town of Wokingham. Perfect for families, friends and budding secret agents aged 6 to 106, the trail combines sightseeing with puzzle-solving fun. It’s a great way to explore the town while completing a thrilling mission.
This 2-mile loop trail takes around 2 hours at your own pace and guides you through Howard Palmer Gardens, Elms Field, Wokingham Town Centre and St. Paul’s Parish Church. Along the way, you’ll solve clues hidden in historic buildings, monuments and permanent features to stop the evil spy ring K-OS from destroying Wokingham’s oak trees. If you get stuck, there’s a text message clue service to help you continue your mission, and successful agents are entered into a £100 monthly prize draw.
The Treasure Trail costs £9.99 per Trail, which covers the whole group playing together. The same Trail can also be used for birthday parties, working best in small teams of around 4–5 people, with adult support recommended for younger children.

- An international spy ring, K-OS, is planning to decimate all oak trees in an attempt to gain notoriety as a force to be reckoned with. They have planted a device that, if activated, will disperse giant oak weevils to prevent the trees from producing acorns and ultimately kill all existing trees.
- Wokingham's town symbol is an acorn with oak leaves, so the town's authorities and all residents have a particular interest in preventing this wicked plan from succeeding. They feel that the very integrity of their town would be compromised if the oak trees were to disappear.
- Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to solve a series of Clues that will enable you to identify the secret code required to deactivate the dastardly oak-killing device.
