  • An Architectural Gem: Westminster Cathedral was built at a time of great social and artistic change in England. It is a unique building that combines the very best of the Victorian and Edwardian eras with ground-breaking art and design from the modern age.
  • Art, Marbles & Mosaics: The interior of Westminster Cathedral is unfinished. It was always the intention that future generations would gradually complete the decoration, and that work continues today.
  • Treasures: As a new building, Westminster Cathedral had no legacy of art or treasure to inherit. The historic and beautiful items which the Cathedral treasures today are mainly gifts or commissions. These are not museum pieces. The beautiful vestments and Church vessels continue to be used, as they should be used, in the celebration of Mass.
