Welcome to White Spider Climbing. White Spider is one of the UK’s largest indoor climbing centres bright, spacious, and purpose-built for climbers of all levels. From complete beginners to advanced climbers, the centre offers a wide range of climbing options and expert support to help everyone progress confidently. The facility features extensive roped climbing walls up to 10 metres high, a dedicated bouldering area with a variety of graded problems, and plenty of options for juniors, families, and group sessions. For younger climbers, there are kids' climbing sessions, term-time clubs, birthday parties and taster experiences. Teens aged 14+ can climb independently once assessed, and adult climbers can also join social sessions, coaching programmes, or book instructor-led inductions.

A £2.50 registration fee applies on the first visit. Adult entry is £15.50 during peak hours and £12.00 off-peak. Junior and concession rates are £12.00 peak and £10.00 off-peak. Full-time students can access discounted rates on Student Wednesdays during off-peak hours.

Experienced Climbers: Those with previous climbing experience who are confident to climb unsupervised can register to climb independently. Visit the registration page to complete the necessary forms and view supervision guidelines, opening hours, and pricing.
Adult Beginners: New to climbing? Several options are available to get started safely and confidently.
- Bouldering: Climb on walls up to 3.5 metres high without ropes or harnesses. Each section presents short climbing problems that test skill and technique. Safety mats are in place to ensure a soft landing. With over 200 boulder problems over 2 floors, as well as a dedicated training area, cave and digital training board.
- Rope Climbing: Using harnesses and belay devices, rope climbing offers secure ascents on 10-metre walls. A climbing partner is required for belaying, and both climbers must be familiar with safety procedures.
- Taster Sessions: Perfect for those trying climbing for the first time. Taster sessions are available for individuals, families, or groups and provide a fully supervised introduction.
Adult Climbing Development:
- Social Sessions: Join a session to meet other climbers in a relaxed environment
- Adult Coaching: Explore progression options, from beginner fundamentals to advanced movement and technique
Youth Climbing: White Spider offers structured and fun climbing for children and teens, suitable for all levels.
- Kids’ Sessions: Structured introductory sessions designed to help children build confidence, coordination, and climbing skills in a fun and safe environment. These sessions are led by experienced instructors and are ideal for first-time climbers.
- Drop-in Climbing: Flexible climbing access with no need to book in advance. Suitable for children who want a casual session to explore climbing at their own pace, under adult supervision or as part of a supervised programme (depending on age).
- Termly Clubs: Weekly climbing clubs run throughout the school term for children aged 5 and above. Sessions focus on developing technique, fitness, and confidence in a progressive and engaging way. Ideal for regular climbers who want structured improvement.
- Independent Climbing (Ages 14+): Teenagers aged 14 and older can climb independently once assessed as competent. This option is perfect for those who want more freedom and flexibility to train or climb recreationally without supervision.
- School & Youth Groups: Tailored climbing sessions for schools, scouts, guides, and youth organisations. Programmes can be designed to support GCSE PE, NICAS awards, or general team-building and physical development. Ideal for educational enrichment or extra-curricular activities.
- White Spider Squad: A performance-focused programme for young climbers showing strong potential and commitment. Squad members train regularly under coach supervision, working towards competition readiness and advanced skill development.
