Open Water Swimming: Whitlingham Adventure provides safety covered open water swimming over marker buoyed course lengths of 100m, 250m and 400m. Whitlingham Adventure is Norfolk's largest open water swimming venue and hosts the Norwich Triathlon, Universities National Triathlon and Swim England Eastern region open water championships.
Paddlesports: Stand up paddleboarding (8yrs+) Instructor led session introducing the sport of Stand Up Paddleboarding. Perfect for complete beginners (typically a wet session, wetsuits are available when water is cold)
Open Canoe/Double Kayak (sit-on-top): Instructor led session introducing either canoes or double kayaks. If booking an odd number of participants they shall be paired up on the day with another participant. Perfect for complete beginners.
Sailing: Perfect for complete beginners. An opportunity to get afloat and experience sailing. Using larger Wayfarer dinghies with 1-2 participants per craft, with an instructor onboard providing tuition.
Sailing (Funboats): An opportunity to get afloat and experience sailing. Using larger Funboat dinghies with 1-3 participants per craft, with an instructor providing tuition and safety cover from a powerboat.
Windsurfing: An opportunity to get afloat and experience windsurfing, a wet and exhilarating watersport. When conditions are cold the centre provides wetsuits. An instructor will take you through the basics and aim to get you standing on the board and sailing across the wind.

Whitlingham Adventure is open most of the year for group bookings and courses but not for public access. During the year the Centre will host a number of events - triathlons, swimming competitions etc., so may be closed for these events. Before you visit, please call the office on 01603 632307 to check opening hours.

Whitlingham Adventure is just 10 minutes from the city centre. Follow signs for Trowse. Once in the village turn left opposite the Church and proceed down Whitlingham Lane. Passing the Norfolk Snowsports Club on your right and after approx. 500 yds, the LIME AVENUE car park for Whitlingham Adventure can be found on your left. From here, follow the footpath between the Broads (see map) and signage to WHITLINGHAM ADVENTURE. Car parking charges apply to all users, but Whitlingham Charitable Trust operates a 25-minute grace period for customers of Whitlingham Adventure using Lime Avenue car park. If you stay longer than 25 minutes, please see the charging tariffs and terms at the pay and display machines.
