Wotton Pool in Wotton-under-Edge is a much-loved community-run heated swimming pool that has been serving local residents for decades. Saved and managed by volunteers, it continues to offer a welcoming, family-friendly space for relaxation, fitness, and swimming throughout the summer season. With its retractable enclosure, the pool provides both indoor and open-air swimming experiences.

Visitors can enjoy daily public swim sessions, while children can take part in structured Saturday morning swimming lessons for beginners, improvers, and advanced swimmers. The 18m pool is kept at a warm 28–30°C and includes separate changing facilities, external hot showers, and nearby parking within 100m.

Prices are affordable, with adults at £4.00, juniors at £3.00, under-4s at £1.00, and family tickets at £12.00. Lessons are £30.00 per child for a course, and small group classes cost £42.00 for seven sessions. Birthday parties are available, with full pool hire from £65.00 for up to 35 swimmers or a smaller party option at £45.00 for up to 12 swimmers. A covered veranda is also provided for groups to gather after the swim.

Children's Swimming Lessons: We are pleased to be able to offer half-hour swimming lessons again. These are offered on Saturday mornings at 10:00, 10:30 & 11:00 As in previous years we are running beginners, intermediates/improvers and advanced.

The beginners will use the shallow end of the pool (it's 1 metre deep, so they must be tall enough to stand on tip-toe and still breathe at that depth).
The intermediates/improvers (who must be able to swim a width easily) will use the deeper parts of the pool (at the same time as the beginners) and normally swim widths.
The advanced sessions will use the whole pool and usually swim lengths

Birthday Party Details

Advance party bookings: A pool booking well in advance is available (you know when your birthday is!) where you can bring up to 35 swimmers and some spectators. There is a covered veranda area where the group can congregate after or during the swim.
Small bookings: Once we have got our timetable populated, we may find that there are some unbooked slots in the upcoming week. These are made available, the week before, to book at a reduced rate of £45! These sessions are limited to a maximum of 12 swimmers.

Open every day throughout the summer for public swimming. There is no need to book ahead, just turn up and pay at the gate.
