Admission Details
The main point of entry to Arnold House is at 5+ entering Year 1. The boys joining the School are placed in one of two parallel classes.
Available Places: 38 to 40 pupils
The School is oversubscribed and parents need to register their son between his first and second birthday.
- Between your son's first and second birthday, please email the Registrar ([email protected]) to obtain an application form and further information. Please give your name, your postal address, your son's name and his date of birth.
- All application forms should be completed and returned before your son's second birthday along with a registration fee of £100.
- All registered parents are invited to visit the School on one of three Open Evenings held in April/May, roughly two and a half years prior to the September entry date e.g. April/May 2020 for entry in September 2022.
- Parents wishing to proceed with their application following an Open Evening visit, have the opportunity of meeting the Headmaster for a twenty minute interview to discuss their educational aspirations and to find out more about Arnold House.
- Each boy is then invited to the School for a brief and informal one-to-one "Get to know you" session lasting between 10 and 15 minutes. The School may request a confidential reference from a boy’s nursery school prior to the visit.
- Information collated from the interview, the boy’s "Get to know you" session and confidential nursery school report provide the basis on which an offer is made. Offers are made approximately fifteen months before the proposed September entry date, e.g. February half-term 2020 for entry in September 2021.
- Whilst places are not guaranteed, younger siblings, whose parents remain fully committed to the ethos and values of the School are looked upon favourably, as are the sons of Arnold House old boys.

Scholarships
Bursary awards are available to new entrants to the School in Years 5, 6 and 7.
Bursary awards are intended to extend the benefits of an Arnold House education to boys whose families would not otherwise be able to afford the School’s fees. All bursaries are means-tested and can be awarded to supplement the contribution made by parents or to cover the full cost of fees, uniform and extras each term. Bursaries are funded through a combination of the School’s fee income and donations from current and former parents, old boys and friends of the School. The Arnold House Development Office and the Headmaster have already embarked on fund-raising initiatives needed to ensure support from the wider Arnold House community towards the bursary scheme’s long-term success.
If you would like to enquire or apply for a bursary place, please contact Penny Williams at [email protected] or on 020 7266 4840.
