Beech Grove School is part of the Bruderhof Schools, a network of Christian independent schools founded by the Bruderhof, an international Christian church community movement. The Schools, which are an integral part of the communities, aspire to educate the whole child. Junior School
Beech Grove Junior School, like the Senior School, provides a demanding academic programme and many extra-curricular activities for the Kindergarten through 8th grades. Academic activities run from 7:45 am to 12:00 noon.
Senior School
The Beech Grove Senior School curriculum emphasises rigour, depth, and mastery of fundamentals. All classroom instruction seeks to instill respect, self-discipline, and a strong work ethic. Of equal importance is to teach our students to serve and care for others. In addition to traditional academic studies, students take courses that enrich their understanding of religious and ethical issues. A low student to staff ratio and small class sizes create an environment in which all students can succeed. The rigorous academic programme is designed to challenge and inspire our students while fulfilling all the requirements for an accredited high school diploma. The credit requirements for The Beech Grove School Diploma are equivalent to those of the New York State Regents Diploma.
Boarding
The boarding accommodation at Beech Grove Senior School aims to provide 9th - 12th grade students with a second home that is supportive, fun and educational, and helps them develop independence and other valuable life-skills. The Boarding House has separate wings for boys and girls. Students share a room with other boarders and have access to a kitchen and common room. Boarders enjoy evening activities (when study time allows) and a weekend programme, as well as regular weekends at home.
