The school typically caters for up to 20 students aged between 12-18 years of age and each classroom features different learning environments for alternative ways of learning. Individually tailored educational pathways are created to ensure each student's needs are met. The teaching team is supported by a multi-disciplinary team including psychologist, occupational therapist and therapeutic practitioners.
They teach the National Curriculum at Key Stage 3 and offer a range of qualifications from Functional Skills to completing GCSE's and A-Levels in a variety of subject at Key Stages 4 and 5.
Fees will differ between schools, colleges and homes and are matched to the individual's placement needs. The majority of individuals are referred and placed by their local authorities and are often supported by children's services and/or health services.
