Awards made in Form 4 are held for two years, through to the end of Form 5. The financial value of Lower School awards is 5% to 10% of the fees.
Sixth Form Scholarships
Academic Scholarships are considered on individual merit and are based on a track record of outstanding academic performance. For students who are new to Concord, following the application process for a Sixth Form place, Scholarship applicants are required to submit their GCSE/IGCSE (or equivalent) results to the Principal’s Office. Competition for these awards is intense, and typically, only those who achieve 10 A*s/grade 9s (or the local national equivalent) will be considered. Results should be submitted by the December of the student’s 6.1 year at the College. Scholarships will be awarded in December and will cover the whole of the 6.1 and 6.2 years. Concord students continuing from Form 5 to the Sixth Form will be considered for scholarships based on their GCSE/IGCSE results with exactly the same criteria. The financial value of Sixth Form Academic Scholarships is 5% to 10% of the fees.
Principal’s Scholarships are designed to attract the very best new students from around the world to Concord. Following the application process for a Sixth Form place, suitable candidates will be invited to apply and will complete an interview with the Principal, references and a personal statement. The number of Principal’s Scholarships available is very limited indeed and the value is typically 25% to 50% of fees (though can be more in very exceptional circumstances). NB All scholarship funds are limited and will be allocated to top students at the Principal’s discretion. Sixth form boarding applicants can also consider applying for an Anthony Morris Scholarship which is a substantial award to enable a young person to apply to Concord whose family might otherwise be unable to afford the fees. The application process involves means testing of the family resources and income to ensure that the scholarships are awarded to those most in need and there is a separate application process for this.
