Pre-School and Nursery
At Ghyll Royd Pre-School and Nursery they provide a personalised, dynamic and rich classroom and outdoor environment for children 2 – 4 years. Stay and Play Sessions
The Stay and Play sessions are postponed for the forseeable. We understand how disappointing this is to the many families who attend the Stay and Play sessions to play with their child and meet with other parents. They look forward to welcoming you back to Ghyll Royd once the sessions resume.
Selection Criteria: Selective
Ghyll Royd and Pre-School is a not an academically selective school. The selection process is designed to identify pupils who would benefit from our balanced and well-rounded education and will make a positive contribution towards the life of the school.

Scholarships
Scholarships are currently available for Academic, Music and Sport and are awarded to children who academically are likely to be in the top ten percent of their class and/or displaying artistic or athletic excellence and/or excelling in a personal extracurricular activity or area of study.Subsidised scholarship places may be offered with a reduction in school fees depending on your child’s performance on their scholarship entrance day and examinations together with musical and sporting qualifications, awards, rankings and statements from the child’s instructors and coaches. No sibling reductions are available on subsidised scholarship places and scholarships are only available for children within Key Stage 2.
