Grangewood Independent School is Independent Primary school in Newham for kids aged 2 to 11 (Gender - Mixed )

Grangewood Independent School, situated in the east end of London, was founded in 1979. They are a co-educational school that provides a unique and enjoyable educational experience for children from two to eleven years. They are proud to offer a full Primary education at Grangewood, and it delights us to see our Nursery pupils go on to flourish throughout their time at school.The pupils who remain with us through their Primary careers are able to build on the excellent foundation they receive in the Nursery, and continue to benefit from the fantastic facilities, expertly delivered curriculum and deeply rooted morality at Grangewood.

At Grangewood School, we provide an enriching curriculum which is broad, balanced and appropriate to the needs of each pupil within the school.They provide key opportunities for pupils to experience, develop and consolidate a range of skills and knowledge that they may use to develop their independence and enhance their lives. At the same time, it supports the development of character and well-being to ensure they thrive in the future.The curriculum must therefore be flexible enough to meet the different needs of every individual in an ever changing school population, whilst laying the key foundations for the next stage of their lives.

Here at Grangewood they are passionate about having all our children reach their full potential therefore we are pleased to proudly introduce you to our Special Educational Needs provision.They prioritise four key areas for our children which are: Communication and Interaction Difficulties, Learning and Cognition Difficulties, Social, Emotional or Mental Health Difficulties, Sensory and/or physical needs

Admission Details

At Grangewood, children may start School in the term following their second birthday. Parents are invited to make an appointment to see the Head Teacher and look round the school (with or without their child) prior to the entrance procedure and testing of the child being admitted.Parents are provided with a copy of the School Prospectus and asked to complete and return the enrolment form to the School Office with the non-refundable registration fee of £40. Following this, an assessment is arranged and admission is confirmed in writing. Once the child has been admitted, parents are asked to keep in close contact with the Class Teacher to ensure that their child's transition is a smooth one.
