Description

New Barn School is a DfE registered independent school for boys and girls with SEMH and complex needs aged 6 to 16 years old. The school caters for children from Acorn Education and Care residential homes; Acorn and Ashley, as well as day pupils.

Facilities

New Barn School delivers a structured programme of education, tailored to each student’s individual needs and taking into account their Education, Health and Care plans. Students are taught in small cohorts and individually, by fully qualified teachers and instructors.

Admission Details

New Barn School admits pupils from four of the residential homes in the Hampshire group, Acorn, Ashley, Ramsworth and Spinney as well as day pupils.

The registered age range for pupils is 6-19 years old and covers Key Stages 1, 2, 3 and 4. Pupils are referred through the children’s homes from primarily social service departments from across England.
