The Anglesey Sea Zoo is clearly sign posted on brown tourist information road signs all the way from all major road access routes from the Britannia Bridge, and on arrival is easily recognised by its twin flagpoles flying the Welsh and Sea Zoo flags as well as Sea Zoo signage and posters. From the main gate the distance to the entrance is 200m over a level tarmac road.
Take the A55 across the Britannia Bridge on to Anglesey, then follow the brown lobster tourist information signs at junction 7 along the A4080 from Llanfairpwll to Brynsiencyn. Follow the brown lobster sign at the Y Groeslon pub down to the coastal road that leads to our entrance at the water’s edge.

  • By Bus: currently the No. 42 bus departs from Bangor Clock and arrives in Brynsiencyn, which is approximately 1 mile or 20 minutes on foot, from the aquarium.  The bus stops in the village are located near to the Y Groeslon pub, and from there, the brown and white lobster signs can be followed to the Sea Zoo.
  • By Train: are not very practical for visiting the Anglesey Sea Zoo as they do not necessarily fit in to the bus timetable.  The nearest main station is Bangor, with Llanfairpwll being the closest request stop station on Anglesey.  It is then possible to take a bus from Llanfairpwll to Brynsiencyn on the service mentioned above.  However, this service does leave the passenger approximately 1 mile away from the Anglesey Sea Zoo.
