Entry to the estate is generally free, though some areas or special events may require paid access. Parking charges apply, starting from £1 for up to 1 hour and going up to £3–£4 for up to 5 hours depending on the car park.

  • Country park and mansion with 850 acres of woodland and grassland and many activities.On the estate's higher ground, there are two 18-hole pitch-and-putt golf courses, with stunning views across the city.
  • Orienteering and mountain biking are catered for with special trails, and there is plenty of open space for family games and picnics. A high ropes course in the beautiful Ashton Court woodland is open every weekend and every day throughout the school holidays.
  • There is also a miniature railway, which is open at selected weekends throughout the year. For the more adventurous, Ashton Court is one of the few places you can take off in a hot air balloon or discover the unusual sports of Foot Golf and Disc Golf.

  • Parking: Parking is available next to the café.
  • Food & Drinks: And once you’ve finished exploring, stop in to one of the two on-site cafés to enjoy scrummy local cakes, freshly prepared sandwiches and a range of drinks and snacks. With seating indoor and out and space for the kids to play, the dog-friendly cafés can be enjoyed year-round.
  • Toilets: Toilets (including a disabled toilet) and baby changing facilities are available.

What to see

  • Walking: You can walk to Ashton Court from: Clifton across the Clifton Suspension Bridge / National Cycle Route 33-Festival Way. 
  • Dog walking and deer: If you choose to walk your dog in a deer enclosure then you do so at your own risk. Keep to the paths and keep your dog on a short lead. You could face criminal prosecution if your dog chases deer, and other wildlife, in parks. 
  • Ashton Court Mansion: The mansion is open from 11am to 4pm, Wednesdays to Sundays. It can be hired outside of these hours by prior arrangement. Ashton Court Mansion is now run by Artspace Lifespace.

  • Take the X3 excel or X4 excel bus from the city centre, 10-minute walk from the bus stop to Ashton Court Estate Mansion House car park, or take the 8 to Clifton and walk across the suspension bridge.
