Castle Acre Priory is one of the finest and best-preserved monastic ruins in England, located in the historic village of Castle Acre, Norfolk. Founded shortly after the Norman Conquest, this 12th-century site served as a home for monks, a refuge for pilgrims, and a stopping point for royalty for nearly 450 years.
