Features

  • Beyond Reality: Travel on a mind-bending journey as mirrors and clever projection take you beyond the boundaries of reality. Surreal, otherworldly and dreamlike, this gallery will envelope you in the strange and extraordinary. This gallery will take you from Surrealism to Symbolism to Post-Impressionism and beyond, putting you in the heart of these dramatic artworks. Where else can you be surrounded by Edvard Munch's iconic but unsettling masterpiece 'The Scream' in a way that creates a whole new emotional intensity?
  • Colour In Motion: Celebrating Impressionism, Colour in Motion uses motion tracking technology which transforms iconic masterpieces into their individual brushstrokes in an interactive, playful way, inviting visitors to step inside and engage with the art. Have you ever thought of being an artist? In this gallery, with a little help from advanced motion tracking, you can use your own gestures and movements to 'paint' with pixels. As you travel from Impressionism to Neo and Post Impressionism in this gallery, you'll be able to re-create the colourful vibrancy of these remarkable paintings. Your masterpiece awaits.
  • The World Around Us: Our world has always inspired artists and how they see it has always inspired us. In our largest gallery, you will be thrown into crashing oceans, relax in pastoral beauty, explore bustling cities and stand on the edge of fiery volcanoes. See landscapes as you have never seen them before. Be swept away by 360-degree cityscapes and seascapes that completely envelop you in the beauty of our world. From floor to wall to ceiling, every canvas extends across every inch of space. All on a scale you've never seen before.
  • The Art Of Abstraction: Wind through a maze of colour, shape and form to discover abstract art in a way never seen before. As the leading abstract artists of the 20th century unpicked traditional art, presenting images that were fundamentally different, this gallery presents the art itself in a new way. Walk amongst the objects, shapes and colours that make up this unique genre. Your journey here starts in 1906 where Hilma af Klint, a traditional landscape painter, started to create radical artworks made up only of abstract shapes and fervent colour to convey spiritual meaning.
  • Artist Residencies: As innovators in the digital technology and art space, FRAMELESS believes in supporting emerging creatives and talent. Throughout the year, our Blank Canvas gallery plays host to select works from emerging artists in the digital art world. Situated just off the Café Bar, Blank Canvas is the perfect space to spend some time before or after your main gallery visit to take in the impressive work of some of the best up-and-coming talent there is to offer. From time to time the Blank Canvas gallery will be closed for events, and residencies are limited, so be sure to keep an eye out on our What’s On page for upcoming information on new artists.
