Facilities

  • Parking: Free National Trust car park at Freshwater West is open for visitors to use from dawn until dusk. Please note that overnight parking and camping are not permitted here. The car park is also not suitable for coaches. Gupton Farm has its own free car park for guests staying at the campsite and farmhouse.
  • Toilet: Toilets at the beach car park.
  • Dogs allowed: Welcome under close control on the beach and bridleways. No dogs allowed on the permissive paths due to sensitive wildlife.

Freshwater West wildlife walk: Enjoy a scenic circular walk around the dunes and farmland behind Freshwater West beach. Along the way, observe local flora and fauna and how our restoration work is delivering for nature, while admiring the sea views from an alternative angle.

  • By road: Follow the B4319. The turning to the farm is on the right hand side (coming from Castlemartin) approximately 1 mile from the village and before you descend to Freshwater West beach. Please note it's a concealed entrance; look for the pink banner.
  • On foot: Via Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
  • By train: Pembroke is the nearest train station 8 miles away. Taxis bookable in advance.
  • By bus: Pembroke train station to Angle.
  • By ferry: Nearest Ferry at Pembroke Dock.
