The Zip Line Experience is perfect for those looking for a shorter but equally thrilling adventure, featuring two cross-valley zips – one 48 metres high and 325 metres long, and the return at 220 metres.

Prices start from £36.95 for the Treetop Challenge and £25.95 for the Zip Line Experience, with an additional £3.95 online booking fee per order.

Located within Forestry and Land Scotland’s Glentress site, visitors can enjoy excellent facilities, including paid parking, an on-site café, bike hire, and scenic walking and cycling trails. Perfect for zip wire enthusiasts or those wanting a shorter experience! You will ride our 48m high, 325m long zip. Not bragging, but this might just be the highest zip in Scotland! A 220m zip will provide you with a nice cruise back across the valley.

  • By Car: From the west or north - You can get to Peebles using the A72 or the A703 from Edinburgh. From the South - Leave the M74 at Junction 15 (Moffat) and take the A701 towards Edinburgh. At Broughton, take the B712 on the right, which joins the A72 (turn right) and head into Peebles. Then from Peebles, follow the A72 towards Galashiels for 1.5 miles, and the entrance for Glentress is signposted to the left-hand side. From the east - Take the A72 towards Peebles. After the village of Cardrona (and MacDonald Hotel), the entrance for Glentress is signposted to the right.
  • By Bus: The 62 and 62a buses from Edinburgh to Galashiels both stop right outside the Glentress entrance. Ask for “Glentress” rather than “Peebles”.The driver is more likely to drop you outside the site, rather than in Peebles. The stop is not in Peebles itself but three miles east of Peebles. The course is approx 500m up a gentle hill, following the forest road from the bus stop.
