Hebridean Whale Cruises operates from Gairloch on the west coast of Scotland, offering unforgettable wildlife boat trips into the North Minch. Cruises include the 2½-hour Whales & Wildlife trip, the 4-hour Ultimate ‘Orca 1’ cruise, and the 3-hour Shiant Islands cruise. Visitors may see Whales, Dolphins, Porpoises, Sharks, Puffins, White-tailed Eagles, Golden Eagles, Grey and Common Seals, and more. Trips explore areas such as the North Minch, Inner Sound, Sound of Raasay and the Shiant Islands, depending on wildlife movements.

Prices range from £65 to £100 for adults and £50 to £80 for children (4–12 yrs), depending on the cruise chosen. Seasonal options like Shiant Islands (3+ Hours) and Flexible Minch (3+ Hours) are £75 Standard and £60 Child.

Each cruise offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic, the Outer Hebrides and the Isle of Skye. 2½-hour Whales and Wildlife Cruise: On this cruise, we venture out to the Whale and Dolphin feeding grounds in either, the North Minch, Inner Sound or the Sound of Raasay depending on where we know or think the animals may be found. This cruise targets the areas within 15 to 20 miles radius of Gairloch Pier.
4-hour Ultimate Orca 1 Cruise: On this cruise, we hope to show you as much of the marine wildlife you can encounter in the Hebrides. We will usually head to the most northerly areas and over to the Shiant Islands too. This can change if the target animals are in the southern areas, but this is the beauty of this length of a cruise as we can cover up to 100 miles out there and get to the areas where no-one else goes! Lots of people would like to encounter our resident Killer Whales, and this is the cruise where you are most likely to find them, but you do have to be lucky!
3-hour Shiant Island Cruise: This cruise goes directly to the Shiant Islands to have a tour around them to see predominantly the 240,000 Puffins, White-tailed Eagles (Sea Eagles) and 500+ Common/Grey Seals. Of course, we will stop to see any cetaceans etc that we encounter en-route although we don’t specifically search for them on this cruise, unlike the other cruises we run.

Glittering Waters

From Gairloch, we look out over the fringes of the Atlantic Ocean.
On the horizon are the misty shapes of the Outer Hebrides.
To the South, we see the majestic peaks of the Isle of Skye.

We Bring You Close

These Hebridean Waters are favoured with an abundance of Marine Wildlife.
Here you will find Whales, Dolphins, Porpoises, Sharks, … – the great creatures of the sea.
On the Shoreline, there are colonies of Seals and families of Otters.
We have Birds as rare and spectacular as the White-tailed Eagle and as lovable as the Puffin.

Offshore

Our boat operates daily Whale / Dolphin Watching and Wildlife Cruises.
Offshore, to whale and dolphin feeding grounds in the open waters of the North Minch.
Inshore, around Loch Gairloch, a natural Wildlife Haven.
