The Hellfire Caves, a network of man-made chalk and flint caverns, were excavated between 1748 and 1752 for Sir Francis Dashwood. Located above the village of West Wycombe, these fascinating tunnels extend a quarter of a mile (500 meters) underground. Less than an hour’s drive from London, the Hellfire Caves offer a unique underground adventure.
