Hoswick Visitor Centre caters for both locals and visitors. We have a wealth of local information about the surrounding area and its history and heritage. We love to share this knowledge with all our visitors.

Things to Do in & Around Hoswick: Once you’ve been refreshed, fed and watered you can explore the local area. Take a walk along the Hoswick burn or walk round the rompa loop. Take the kids to the Hoswick playpark which was created and put together by locals. Have a drive down to Sandsayre to have a look at the interpretive boards in the Mousa Ferry waiting room. If you are lucky you might even see Orcas hunting in the water at Sandsayre or between Broonies Taing, Hoswick Bay and Levenwick.
Hoswick Walks: Check the website for GAETS (Garden and Ecology Trails Sandwick), to identify the choice of footpaths following the route of the ‘Hoswick burn’. ‘Gaet’ is the Shetland dialect word for path.
Sandsayre – Mousa Ferry: For over forty years there has been a regular summer service taking visitors on the short crossing from Sandsayre to Mousa and back. The Skipper and crew are typical friendly and helpful Shetlanders who will make your trip a pleasure and informative experience.
