  • In the harbour behind the Museum, look out for the historic Jersey boats of the Heritage Fleet lovingly restored by Jersey Heritage boat shop volunteers – the unique story of each boat can be discovered in an interpretation panel on the harbourside.
  • Also on-site at the museum is the Occupation Tapestry Gallery , this gallery shows 13 panels of the tapestry woven by Islanders, which depicts a life of hardship during the five years of Occupation by German armed forces during the Second World War.
  • Each panel was then woven by one of the twelve parishes which make up the Island. The story of the German Occupation unfolds as you move around the gallery and each of the tapestry panels has an interactive screen in front of it.
  • In this Occupation Museum there are also first- hand stories recorded from people who lived through the German Occupation of Jersey, there is also a film  telling the story of the Tapestry and other stories from the Occupation on the large screen in the area at the back of the gallery.
