Welcome to Parthian Climbing Southampton, Centre, which opened its doors in April 2021, offers a wide range of climbing experiences for climbers of all abilities. With over 120 top rope and lead routes, varying from beginner to advanced levels, and over 150 boulder problems across seven circuits, there’s something for everyone. Also feature two official 10m IFSC Speed Walls and 25 Auto Belay routes catering to climbers of all skill levels. To help climbers progress, provide Intro Courses for both kids and adults, along with coaching sessions for those aged 16 and over.

For young climbers looking to advance and potentially compete, we offer the NICAS course throughout term time. Kids Taster Sessions: A perfect introduction to climbing for children. This 1.5-hour group session includes time on ropes and autobelays, and may also feature some bouldering depending on the group. Adult Taster Sessions: Ideal for beginners looking to explore different climbing styles. In this 1.5-hour session, adults will try bouldering, rope climbing, and autobelaying. By the end, participants will be signed off to boulder and autobelay independently without needing to book an instructor. Equipment hire is included.
Adult Social Clubs: Weekly social climbing sessions designed to help climbers meet new people and share tips. A team member is present throughout, but sessions are not instructed, so all participants must be over 18 and signed off to climb unsupervised.

Wild Climbers: Designed for young children aged 4 to 6 years, this one-hour session focuses on developing key skills like agility, balance, coordination, communication, focus, and teamwork through fun activities. Participants earn skill certificates by collecting animal footprints as they progress.
NICAS (National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme): A UK-wide award scheme promoting climbing development for young climbers aged 7 and up, from beginners to experienced.

- Level 2 – Top Rope Climber: Encourages good practice climbing and bouldering unsupervised on artificial walls; requires completion of Level 1.
