Prior Park Landscape Gardens

Description

Prior Park Landscape Garden Set in a sweeping valley above Bath, visitors can enjoy magnificent views and are a stone's throw away from the Bath Skyline - a six-mile circular route encompassing beautiful woodlands and meadows, an Iron Age hill fort, Roman settlements, 18th-century follies and spectacular views. One of only four Palladian bridges of this design in the world can be crossed at Prior Park, which was created in the 18th century by local entrepreneur Ralph Allen, with advice from 'Capability' Brown and the poet Alexander Pope.

Recently Prior Park Landscape Garden underwent major restoration on its historic dams. Built in the mid-1700s, both time and the destructive American signal crayfish had taken their toll on these structures, and the dams were in need of major and expert attention. Reflections of the Palladian Bridge can now be enjoyed in the middle lake, the dams have been strengthened, the lakes refilled, paths reinstated and a small cascade rebuilt to work once again - a long-lost original feature.

Price starts from £12.10 for Adults(18+), £6.10 for Children(5-17 & under 5s free) and £30.30 for Family(2 Adults and up to 3 children). If you are looking for Best place for day out with kids and families then this is the perfect destination offering fun, adventure, and unforgettable memories for everyone.
