Spend the day learning all about the habitat of your local rivers and the native animals that live there. There’s a lot more going on in the waters around you than you might think and it’s everyone’s responsibility to protect it. The aquarium features eight different habitats that children can get to know through activity sheets that encourage them to ask questions and learn.
The main habitat is the wetlands of the Foyle catchment, where the local river is brought to life with local video footage and displays. Over all the habitats there are lobsters, crabs, starfish, coalfish, salmon, stickleback, minnows and lots more!
