The Royal Shakespeare Theatre is a Grade II* listed 1,040+ seat thrust stage theatre owned by the Royal Shakespeare Company dedicated to the English playwright and poet William Shakespeare. It is located beside the River Avon in the town of Stratford-upon-Avon – Shakespeare's birthplace – in the English Midlands.

Tours: Discover the stories and magic of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Go behind the scenes and discover the secrets and stories from the RSC, past and present. Get close up to our costumes, see how our sets are built and learn about theatre superstitions. Our guided tours run daily, led by our experienced tour guides, and every tour will be truly unique.

The Play's The Thing: Discover more than 400 years of theatre-making magic. Containing items from the RSC Collection, one of the most significant Shakespeare and theatre collections in the world, our free The Play's The Thing exhibition offers a unique insight into the history of theatre-making in Stratford-upon-Avon.
School Holiday Activities: Join us in the school holidays for events and activities for all ages. The workshops are a great way to introduce your family to the world of theatre, whether they want to learn about the skills that go into performing on stage or the craft that create the worlds they perform in. As well as workshops and demonstrations there are lots of free activities that will help you discover Shakespeare's stories and characters too.
