SEA LIFE Brighton is the world’s oldest aquarium, offering visitors the chance to explore an incredible underwater world.   • Victorian Arcade: Take a deep breath and begin the journey of a lifetime. Set under the original Victorian architecture from 1872, meet swooping rays, twirling tentacles and glittering fins. You'll even come face-to-fin with our amazing sharks!
  • Day & Night Ocean Experience: Discover the underwater world as you've never seen it before and journey from day to night in a UK first experience. Visit our underwater viewing area and tunnel, or take a seat in our 250 seater auditorium and listen to a creature talk or take a trip on our glass-bottom boat!
  • Rainforest Adventure: Snapping jaws, swishing tails, and leaping frogs. Join us in the hot and humid rainforest. Wind through the roots and tree trunks and say hello to our rescued terrapins and their friends.
  • Secrets of the Reef: Hey, look! There's Dory! And Nemo! See how many more of their colourful friends you can spot in our coral-filled tanks.
  • Glass Bottom Boat: Meet our amazing ocean creatures from a new perspective with our Glass Bottom Boat ride experience! Glide over the water and say hello to our inquisitive turtles and our jawsome sharks while our marine experts explain what makes them so weird and wonderful!
  • Conservation Cove: Conservation is at the heart of what we do at SEA LIFE Brighton. There are plenty of opportunities to learn about the threats facing marine life and what you can do to help as you explore with us. In this area, you will find out more about what SEA LIFE and the SEA LIFE Trust are doing to help threatened marine life. 
  • VIP Experiences: Welcome! Prepare for a world of glittering scales, humongous tentacles and inquisitive sea turtles. Dive in and make the most out of your visit with an upgrade to one of our VIP experiences! Are you ready for an experience of a lifetime?

Facilities

  • Parking: Unfortunately, seafront parking is not currently available as it previously was. Alternatively, you can park at Withdean Sports Complex and catch the 27 bus to the SEA LIFE Centre. Tickets are £5 for a return. 
  • Food & Drinks: They have a Coffee Shop located in the Victorian Arcade opposite the Ray Pool where you can buy snacks and refreshments.
  • Toilets: There are toilets and baby changing facilities within SEA LIFE Brighton. We have 2 baby changing tables in cubicles in both male and female toilets.
  • Buggy: This aquarium is buggy accessible except for our Auditorium area, however this display can be viewed from the Ocean tunnel and viewing area.

  • By Bus: Buses run very regularly from all over Brighton and the greater region which will drop you off close to SEA LIFE Brighton. Take any bus into Brighton town Centre and head for the seafront. There is a bus stop situated a couple of minutes away from our entrance next to the traffic lights, or Old Steine bus stop a short walk away. 
  • By Train: SEA LIFE Brighton is approximately a 20-minute walk away from Brighton Train Station. The easiest route is to head to the seafront down Queens Road and then turn East towards Brighton Pier. Quicker routes can be found via the North Laines however they can be a bit of a maze!
  • By Car: All main routes into Brighton will take you to the seafront. Follow the fish symbol on the brown tourist signs or look for Brighton Pier and we are situated right next door.
