The Romsey Treasure Trail is an exciting self-guided detective mystery adventure set in the charming town of Romsey. It invites participants to explore the town while solving clues to uncover the truth behind a mysterious missing manuscript. Combining storytelling, sightseeing and puzzle-solving, it offers a fun and interactive outdoor experience for families and friends.
The trail begins at Market Place near the historic Abbey and follows a 1.5-mile circular route through Romsey’s picturesque streets and gardens. Along the way, participants solve clues hidden on buildings, monuments and permanent features while uncovering the story of “Slippery Secrets Silenced by Smoke.” This detective mystery themed walking trail takes around 2 hours to complete, is suitable for ages 6–106, includes a mobile text clue service, and all correct answers are entered into a £100 monthly prize draw.
The trail costs £9.99 GBP per Trail booklet, with one booklet recommended for a group of 4–5 people. Treasure Trails can also be used for birthday adventures, where teams explore the route, solve clues and complete the mystery together, with adult supervision recommended for younger participants.
