Features

  • The Power Hall: The Power Hall is the first hall you enter when passing our admission kiosk. It shows how public transport enabled people to get out and about, plus plenty of insights into the operating and manufacturing sides of the industry. The Art Depot area contains lots of examples of bus company art, models and photography.
  • The Scania Hall: Situated to the rear of the cafe, Hall 2 contains our Battery Electrics and more buses. Don't miss these gems at the back of the site, including the largest collection of restored battery electric vehicles in the world and probably the largest Birmingham coat-of-arms, set in stone outside the main entrance.
  • The Shire Hall: Opposite the side of the Power Hall is our display yard and Hall 3, The Shire Hall, home to the running fleet. This is also a workshop where volunteers restore and maintain our collections ranging from immaculate to almost total wrecks.
  • Kids And Families: For kids and families, we have a family ticket and our 'Kids Kabin' area has a selection of toys and activity sheets. There are also a number of interactive exhibits in the Power Hall. Inside the kabin you'll find all sorts of play things including a wooden railway, colouring and activity sheets, toys and building bricks.
  • Miniature Railway: Transport Museum Wythall is pleased to include The Wythall Miniature Railway in its list of attractions. This ride-on miniature railway is operated by the Elmdon Model Engineering Society within the museum site, charging a supplement of £2.00 per ride for children of all ages above three and is great fun for all the family.
